It's getting near
to the time we set off, and I am starting to become totally trip focussed! Not altogether a good thing, so focussed in fact I was awake til 6am today ... simply couldn't sleep, so I was back online researching varoius aspects of the regulations of dog import / export and how to find a wifi hotspot at 4am. I finally think I have all the bases covered, and can continue with my various lists!
I got around to printing all my flight and hotel details today, and collecting all the bits of paper needed together in one folder. It's quite a tome!
Caesar has been to the groomers today and looks brilliant! Good job Erin! I had to smile, I was peeping from outside the groomers and just as Erin led Caesar to the door to come and find me, she offered him a treat, he wasn't having any of it, instead took his lead and made for the door!
After the groomers, we spent some time in the computer warehouse next door, they should really rename it Wendy's Wonderland, as I so love wandering round looking at all the new gadgets and gizmos. What did I buy this time? A new USB set of headphones and mic, a webcam (purely cos it was half price bargain) and a keyring which can detect wireless hotspots. The wifi detecting keyring and headset will come to California with us, but I shall have to leave the webcam in the box til I get home and have more time.
For the unitiated, a wifi hotspot is a place where one can, either for free or for a small fee, use a wireless enabled laptop or other device to access the internet, they are often in cafes, hotels, shops etc., and I shall need to avail myself of some hotspots to update this blog while we are away.

Great blog Wendy! Can't wait to see you and CZ in New York.
You seem to like gadgets, do you have a PDA? I use Gulliver to keep track of flight and hotel details and you can even beam it to someone else!
Thanks Suzan! Nope, no PDA, had palmtops 10 years ago and never could cope with the fact that they dumped their contents when dropped! Went right back to a Filofax after a few worrying crashes.
Looking forward to seeing you in Manhattan!
