Caesars' sightseeing tour continued...
Wendy & Caesar outside The Globe Theatre
Our sightseeing tour continued on the south bank of The River Thames at Shakespeares' Globe Theatre.

On the Millennium Bridge

Then we crossed the River Thames by the Millennium Bridge.
It is the first pedestrian river crossing over the Thames in central London for more than a century.
The bridge stretches from The Tate Modern on the south bank of the river, towards St Pauls' Cathedral on the north.

Lord Nelsons' Tomb

This is us at the tomb of Horatio Lord Nelson in St Pauls' Cathedral.
Horatio Nelson was the most popular British hero of the late 18th and 19th centuries.

Outside The Old Bailey

"Quick Mum! Let's get out of here!"

Near St Pauls we came across the Old Bailey.
The Old Bailey is regarded as the most famous Crown Court in the world.
Cases from all of the country may be heard here.
Originally a Session House in 1539, and rebuilt in 1774.
It now stands on the site of Newgate Gaol, and is known as the Central Criminal Court.

Hatton Garden

Time for some serious shopping at Hatton Garden, dating back to the 15th century,
Hatton Garden is widely regarded as London's Jewellery Quarter.

The Albert Memorial

By now it was high time for some R & R, so we headed off to Kensington Gardens.

The Albert memorial was commissioned by Queen Victoria to commemorate her late husband.
The Royal Albert Hall was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871.

Gates of Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace lies on the west side of Kensington Gardens.
Birthplace and childhood home of Queen Victoria, the palace is perhaps better known today as being the home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Peter pan Statue

With another days sightseeing almost over, there was just time to take in the Peter Pan Statue on the east side of the Gardens towards Hyde Park.
